2012 West Virginia Book Festival – Event Photos

I spent this past weekend in Charleston at the annual West Virginia Book Festival. It was the first time I’d attended this event, and after two days spent meeting readers & signing, I definitely hope to return in the future. Shelena Shorts and I both signed Saturday and Sunday at the Lands Atlantic booth and some awesome readers kept us busy, especially on Saturday. Here are some photos from the event.

That’s me, ready to meet some readers. ūüėČ

Thanks to all who attended & stopped by the Lands Atlantic booth to meet with me & Shelena. Hope to see you again at a future event!

New Review of The Messenger from Me and Reading Book Blog

“This book just focuses on extraordinary people in extraordinary circumstance without any mystical and unexplainable aid. The messengers were not fighters, they only had themselves, their horse and a letter, and despite this they played a highly important role and alone could change the course of the war. No magic or tricks, but plenty of appreciation and utter respect was sent their way.”

I’m glad they enjoyed my strong but fallible heroine and my medieval world. Many thanks to Reading and Me and all other bloggers / readers who’ve taken the time to review¬†The¬†Messenger. ūüôā

Have Your eBook Copy of The Messenger Signed via Kindlegraph + Connect With Me on Twitter

I’ve got a couple updates this Friday. ūüôā

First,¬†The Messenger is now on Kindlegraph. If you haven’t heard of it, Kindlegraph is a website that allows authors to send personal inscriptions and signatures for ebooks to readers, allowing ebooks to be ‘signed’ just like print books. It’s pretty cool! If you’d like a¬†personalized¬†inscription and signature from me for¬†The Messenger, you can request one here. Kindlegraph will deliver it to you as a PDF that you can store on your computer and / or ereader.

Second of all, I’m now on Twitter. You can find me there at @LeahRoseYA

And, just because it’s Friday…

New Upcoming Event: Signing at the West Virginia Book Festival

I don’t know about you, but it’s difficult for me to believe that it’s already August! While I plan to enjoy the rest of the summer, I know fall (my favorite time of year) is just around the corner. Here’s some information on an event that’s going to make it a fun season. West Virginia’s mountain scenery is breathtaking in autumn, so I’m really looking forward to the trip to Charleston, and to meeting readers during my signing hours at the festival.

Why The Messenger is Temporarily Out of Stock at Amazon

Lately I’ve been getting a lot of questions from readers who ordered¬†The Messenger in paperback from Amazon and have encountered unexpected delays in the shipment of their books. So, here’s the info on why¬†The Messenger¬†is temporarily out of stock there…

All book retailers, such as Amazon, place orders for¬†The Messenger at their discretion. Amazon ordered a larger quantity than initially expected — now they’ve had to order more.

I’m sorry that some of you have had to wait so long for your copy of¬†The Messenger. Just to be clear, my publisher’s distributor is working quickly to fulfill the current demand. The good news though is that your orders have shown a demand that will hopefully encourage Amazon to keep a large number of books on hand so that this can be avoided in the future. So, thank you! I appreciate all of you who’ve ordered¬†The Messenger, and I hope that when your copy arrives, you enjoy Jeilin’s story.

P.S.¬†The Messenger¬†is also available in e-book formats for Kindle and Nook, for those of you who have e-readers / e-reading apps and don’t want to wait.
